Maybe it’s not risk, maybe it’s the ability to see things from the perspective of a “Beginner’s Mind”. A mind free from clutter, like a clear blue sky, or the quiet you can find in nature.
All options are open, chances to be taken, and fun to be had in trying. A beginner’s mind is childlike, transparent, vulnerable and lacks judgment. It’s honest based on the information it has available to it. There is also a foundation based on the laws of nature, to have the honesty of a child with the fresh perspective and optimism that come from youth, it helps to be a child.
How do act like a kid when you are no longer a kid? How can you brush the clutter of years of experience to the side and see blue skies ahead? Great question, I think I will go ask a kid.
